Rosemary Bodolay, U.S.A »Lucid Asylum«
A site-specific installation of glass domes placed over elements of concern in this dynamic forest ecosystem. To gardeners and biologists these translucent structures call to mind traditional cloches or bell jars but these are each different and fanciful -- covering not only young plants, but also animal signs and geologic elements. The domes offer protection; also the glass is a reminder of the vulnerability and fragility of elements existing where both natural and human disturbances continually occur.
