The artist creates a space for contemplation and communication in nature. She stuck words on reproductions of famous European landscape paintings. These words denote associations that sprang most often to the minds of Minocqua´s inhabitants while contemplating each of the pictures shown to them by the artist. Despite notable differences in knowledge and individual experiences concerning nature in general, a certain consensus has prevailed amongst them. This indicates that a picture remains comprehensible to us reaching far beyond the limits of time, space or culture. A. H.
